MAINTENANCE WORKER I/ASSISTANT TO MAINTENANCE
Position: Maintenance Worker 1/Maintenance Assistant
Status: Exempt
Supervised By: Director of Housing
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Maintenance Worker/Assistant to Maintenance position is a part time exempt
Position supervised by the Director of Housing and the Administrative Assistant in the absence of the Director.
The Maintenance Worker 1/Assistant to Maintenance will perform routine maintenance associated with 22 Homes, assist in the collection and Hauling of rubbish/trash on Tuesdays. Maintain the Housing Building. Community grounds, and light maintenance and repairs to existing 22 houses.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform the collection of rubbish/trash on Tuesdays to the 22 Homes in the Community.
- Deliver to the main collection facility in Housing Vehicle and Trailer.
- Maintain in a clean and orderly manner- the Housing Building and grounds.
- Clean bathroom and Kitchen in Housing office building
- Maintain the community grounds around the homes and recreational areas in the Community.
- Deliver notices/memos from the Housing Office to the residents.
- Assist the Maintenance Technician in duties assigned by the Director of Housing
- Other duties as assigned. All work to be performed in a “First Class Manner”
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 18 years of age or older. Valid California Drivers License required. In addition to having a valid California Drivers License, must be able to be insured to drive the Housing vehicles. Handyman or Maintenance/Janitorial
Experience a plus. Must be able to lift 50# and perform all duties of the position. Must be willing to be flexible with hours in the event of a maintenance emergency. Able to take direction and communicate effectively with the Tenants we serve, Housing Staff and Director. We are a “Indian First” employer.
HOURS: 12 HOURS WEEKLY TUESDAY & DAY DETERMINED BY THE DIRECTOR
SALARY: $12 PER HOUR CLOSING DATE FEBRUARY 18TH
